Rhydd Run Colour is a fun colour run based at Rhydd Covert Scout Campsite in Kidderminster, West Midlands. The run is suitable for all sections in Scouting.
Squirrels & Beavers will run 1 lap of the course – approx 1.5km
Cubs will run 2 laps of the course – approx 3km
Scouts & Explorers will run 3 laps of the course – approx 4.5km
This is a fun run and not a race. It is open to all abilities, and you can go at the speed that suits you best. You are welcome to walk, jog or run the course.
What is a Colour Run?
A colour run is a fun run where participants get covered in different coloured paint powders at various points throughout the course. There is also a warm-up dance party where participants will get a packet of paint powder to throw up in the air. It’s lots of fun and very colourful.
Who can sign up?
The event is open to all youth sections in the Scout Association.
How much does it cost?
£14 per person — 2024 price. Price will be updated as required for the next run.
What do I get for the entry fee?
Each participant will receive 1 colour pack for throwing at the warm-up party, a unique race bib number, a white T-shirt to bring out the colour, a pair of funky sunglasses for eye protection, a finishers medal and access to free downloads of all race photography.

10.00am – Squirrel & Beaver Registration Opens
10.25am – Squirrel & Beaver Briefing
10.30am – Squirrel & Beaver race begins – waves set off every 5 minutes following a warm up
10.30am – Cub, Scout & Explorer Registration Opens
10.55am – Cub, Scout & Explorer Briefing
11.00am – Cub, Scout & Explorer race begins – waves set off every 5 minutes grouped by age following a warm up
12.30pm – Estimated finish time of last runners
